Our new 7000 square foot hospital barn, outpatient suite and MRI suite opened in December 2006.

The hospital barn is climate controlled and has 11 stalls including two large neonatal I.C.U. stalls equipped with oxygen and a foal bed, 5 stalls used for treatment of medical and surgical cases and 4 outpatient stalls.

The new outpatient suite is large and used for non-surgical in hospital and outpatient procedures.

The M.R.I. is the only rotational MR Grande in Kentucky. It houses an open magnet that can be rotated 90° in order to evaluate the anatomy on the adult horse that has not been done before.

The new addition has a comfortable viewing room which allows veterinarians and clients to view M.R.I. images, radiographs and nuclear scintigraphy in a digital format on a large view screen.

We are now able to save all digital images to a PACS system that allows images to be viewed from a remote computer. This allows consulting veterinarian’s access to specific images in our system in a timely fashion allowing for quick review and evaluation.

The building also has a lounge and apartment for visiting veterinary students.
