Dr. Collins attended University College of Dublin where she obtained her veterinary degree (MVB). After graduation, she worked in a mixed and equine practice in Ireland and Australia. She then moved to California to complete a Residency in Theriogenology (Reproduction) at UC Davis. After her Residency, Dr. Collins then went to complete a PhD in Animal Science at the University of Maryland studying reproduction in the Przewalski's Horse. She then moved to Australia to teach and manage the Equine Theriogenology Service at the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Collins then moved back t the United States and worked a season a Hanover Shoe Farms in Pennsylvania. Wanting to be closer to family, Dr. Collins moved back to Louisville to manage breeding services at Alliance Stud and Equine Services Hospital. Her main areas of interest are: stallion management, semen freezing, embryo transfer, Artificial Insemenation with fresh and frozen semen, and neonatology. Dr. Collins has a husband and two beautiful daughters and spends all her free time with them.
